pros and cons of each? I’m leaning towards RBP because almost $300 less and they don’t plug in the odb port. I’d be curious as to what you think of each of you have them on your truck.

IMO both are good but I vote AMP. Way more AMP steps out there on trucks with feedback than the RBP and its mostly good. The few negatives I have seen were in extreme conditions.

Lets see what some of the other members have to say.

Message me for a quote, we can get you taken care of

I have the AMPs on mine and wouldn't be without them. Mine are apparently the older model that don't plug into the ODB port. But if they did, it's not like I need that port for anything day to day.

I have the AMPs on mine and they plug into OBD, I just unplug it if I ever use it for AlfaOBD etc. However, AMP sells a cable that plugs in the back, it’s just a splitter “Y” connection that will leave your front port open, you can get them on Amazon. I have had the AMPs installed for 25 months with zero issues

@Graygoose had the RBP installed recently and likes his. I think there’s a few others here with them too

I too have AMPs with zero issues, mine plug into the OBD port. The wife loves them and says wil never go back to regular steps again, I agree. And just as a validation, my brother put AMPs on his 2006 F150 when it was new. The truck now has 300K on it and the steps still work flawlessly, says a lot and the reason i got them.

Congrats come back with the pics when installed. I’m considering but then I’m considering allot of add on goodies.

Let me know when your ready, we offer great pricing on them. We can also help you with any of those other add on goodies!

I decided to go with Amp as @Nick@GotExhaust was able to get me a great price as usual!

Your gonna love the steps, they are very sturdy. My wife made me get mine when my truck was 3 days old, I hesitated due to price but to this day I'm glad we got them, I cant imagine not having them now.

Can’t wait, I’m sure my truck will look a little higher with the old steps removed too! Bonus!

Has anyone had to add bracing for these where they mount?

They don’t need any extra bracing, these things are more solid than the ones I had on there and the old ones had 3 mounting points. The amps are rated at 600 pounds each side.

Steps are on, wiring in the morning. Truck looks taller without the old steps on there.

I installed the AMP steps the second week I had the truck. I'm getting ready to add the override button so the car wash will be easier to get them clean and in winter weather where freezing could be an issue.
