I finally did it. I got these from Moe's performance last week. The wife loves them.

They look nice all tucked away.

Power steps deployed.

I did run into a problem after the install. The steps would not deploy and would get stuck on the pinch weld. I used a dead blow hammer and gently hammered the pinch weld away from the steps. I also had to adjust the step platforms back, instead of forward as the instructions tell you to do. No big deal.

A big thanks to everyone at Moe's for the super fast shipping. I couldn't be happier.

How much weight can they take.. ? Can you fully stand on them ?

They look narrow, but because they stick out further might be easier to get foot on.

Look great. Do they come in other colours ?

They'll hold 600 pounds.

That being said.........my ****** ripped mine out of the sheetmetal on my truck. LOL

I ended up having some plates mounted in, and they've been VERY solid after that.

LOVE my steps, freakin' awesome

Like said above^^ They will hold 600 lbs, and yes you can stand on them with no worries.

Not narrow at all. I measured the width of the step and they are 6 1/4 inches. The only color they come in is black , as far as I know, but they could definitely be colored matched.

They are way more functional than the factory steps that came with the truck when I bought it.

My wife has these from Ford on her F150 Platinum. They are sweet. Extremely handy. They look nice on that black Longhorn for sure.

It definitely changes the look of the truck when they are tucked underneath.

Power steps are awesome. Fairly recently amp redesigned the dodge ram brackets and they are super stout! They mount behind rocker and thru pinch weld seam, great improvement. Tip for anyone who installs them in the future, as they do hang up on the rocker after first installed. Once they are in full down position after opening door and prying them down, jump on the boards a few times to "settle them in" and they will clear from then on.

I really like those and need to get a set. The stock ones on my lifted rig are borderline useless due to lift height and awkward due to their closeness to the frame. Wonder what my stock ones are worth to help reduce the cost of a pair of Amps?

Your 100% correct! The factory steps are more for show than anything else. I sold my factory step to a friend for 400 to help with the cost of the AMP's if that helps.

Notching the actual frame? I'm loving the tucked up look of these they make a lifted truck look bigger. Then its ballin when they roll out.

Thanks!

Yup. I can snap some pics and send them to your email tomorrow.
I was going to do it when I had my 3" but decided to remove the 3" instead
