would a 2 channel amp be able to power all 4 of my speakers or would i need a 4 channel amp?

I'd do a 4 channel to have best sound, 2 channel 'would', but I'd go ahead and get a good 4 channel.

Yeah just run a 4, thats what I put in. I used the 2 for the subwoofer

Depends on how you wire the speakers, and if the amp is 2 ohm stable. With out knowing a bit about how to wire a system I'd just get a decent 4 chnl.

seems hotroder got it right.....you have to look at total resistance for each channel and make sure they are all optimal

A 4 channel is going to give you more flexibility overall...Separate gain setting for front an rear.Separate crossover points front an rear..In my 2nd gen it has larger front door speakers then rears..This is where diff crossover points an separate gain adjustments would come into play for me
