I just installed a set of AMP Research running boards and have a problem. Once I got them installed and buttoned up my dash I discovered that my 4 x4 setting including the lighted indicator, seat vent controls ( manual buttons) and home link system do not function anymore. I suspect I have a loose connection somewhere but not sure where to start. Anyone got any advice? Sorry I have a Laramie and the seat control work through ucomnect.

I have a 2013, did the instructions require you to wire through the center stack in the dash?

I would disconnect all the wires you installed, and then start checking all the connectors.

Mine APS required me to wire them up under the dash near the Ebrake. Although I didn't use that method. I wired them to the drivers kick panel, after finding the correct wires.

What wiring method do they use for power and switch? I'd imagine it ties into the cab power somehow to know when the doors are open and closed.

Power is run to the battery, and then to the control module. The control module has a loom of wires that goto the door actuators. The instructions in the 2013+ will have you wire to near the Ebrake on the drivers side. It is a PITA if you have a factory amp. I just took off the Drivers kick panel and found 4 wires that correspond color wise to the same door actuators.

2012 and down, it all taps to the main fuse box under the hood. Much easier.
