Im gonna do my next oil change in the next few months and am currently running Mobile1. I changed it out when my truck had about 4k miles and im closing in on 9k miles.

Might be a bit early but I prefer it that way.

So, I would like to run Amsoil since a lot of people say good things about it and im willing to give it a shot.
I know 5w-20, But

Which version of it should I be getting for my 2013 Hemi RAM?

Thanks

I'm running 5W20 signature series Amsoil in my Hemi and the motor loves it! It quiet the valve train noise down by 90%.

alright, thanks, well I cant complain on valve train noise since mine isn't bad at all the way it is.

I imagine my truck is still being broken in because my MPG hasn't improved much. Its only had the OEM oil and the Mobile 1 @ 4k miles or so as mentioned.

How much was that oil by the way? 6 or 7 qts?

SS series all the way and usually its around 9 to 10 bucks a quart. I run it in my hemi and my fusion both love it.

this is what ive heard.

not sure on what filter to run. When I did the first oil change myself I used the matching Mobile 1 filter.

I've heard some get the Mopar filter from the dealer, thoughts on that?

Just changed all fluids over to amsoil. It's been good so far no complaints. I used amsoil filter. I think it's made by wik. If u sign up for there membership u save 25% off ur order. It's a 6 month trial for $10 or the full yr $20.

I am using the amsoil filter figuring it would be like any other filter but when I pickup the filter it was heavy like it had some actual substance to it. Kinda made have one of those "hey I actually found something that is quality" moments.

I saw a few reviews on that filter, good of course.

Is that the EA15K50? They show it for $17. They list another one on the Amsoil site from WIX #57060 for $7.

Wix will not be 100% synthetic at that price point. So if you are going to do extended drain don't use the wix.

Any Amsoil part# beginning with "EA" is designed for the extended drain intervals and Signature oil. The Wix filters are good for the O.E. and XL oils.

-Also a dealer :)
