I received this cover from my wife and kids for Christmas. I believe it is one of the cheaper ones that can be found on amazon. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B016...s+ram+1500&dpPl=1&dpID=51WRsgSDP6L&ref=plSrch
Overall, I am happy with the cover; and while it seems well made, I’m curious to see how it holds up over time.
Install was simple, just like almost every other roll up cover, with 3 clamps on each side rail.
The fit was good, but it does leave just a bit of each rear stake pocket exposed. We haven’t had any rain to be able to tell if this will allow water into the bed yet. (I’ll update later)
I did get a little bit of snow in around the tailgate, but the included tailgate seal should remedy that. I’m just waiting for warmer temps to install it, as it’s just adhesive weatherstripping.
I did however have two issues with the hardware.
The clamps use self threading “nuts” in the lower part of the clamp. 5 of the 6 nuts cracked when the screws were installed and tightened. The 6th one split completely in half.
To remedy this, I cut, drilled, and threaded some aluminum bar stock to make new “nut” inserts for the clamps.
While making the new “nuts”, I discovered the second issue(more just a pet peeve of mine). Two of the included screws were metric thread. The other 4 were all 1/4 20.
