another exhaust thread

ok i bought mt truck on the 3rd and rolled under the truck yesterday to check it out. my 3 inch pipe has a nickle size hole right before the muffler. no problem its all stock and way to quite for my taste. and ways the whole 3 inch pipe is rusted to i was wanted to know would it be better to run true duels all the way with x cross over pipe into a pair of flowmaster 10s or just go back with a new 3 inch pipe with a single 3 inch flowmaster 10? for now the truck is stock. but a new cai in on the way. also the truck will be getting headers and gears before fall with a full tune. any info would be great. and its a 4.7 truck

4.7, keep it a single 3" like factory..."too" much exhaust can kill lowend on an already small motor.

if your going headers in the fall, i would just put an exhaust wrap around the hole and replace all of the piping when you get your headers.

i would but the truck is so quite that after the cai install you cant ever hear the exhaust now so shop time. just tryin to get ideas bc friday or sat its go to the muffler shop
