That is a beauty!

Keep the salt off it now! :grd:

thank you, i absolutely love her. I suppose this will be her first (harsh) winter and so next spring all the chassis saver should cling real well to any surface rust that will form this season. Then next year as well i plan on monstalining the bed and maybe the floor in the cab.

I have an 83 w150 4 speed with granny low. I have the 208 case and i can shift from 2 hight to 4 high as long as im going 25 or less. Also my truck is not the vaccume actuated 4x4. So wat u want is out there. But good luck finding the four speed it is hard to come by.

fairly much every season od the 1st personnes had 318s as an choice. most of exchange situations are np208's. they are not move on the fly though. you can get a move on the fly exchange situation at a junkyard from some beginning 90s 1st gen rams though relatively inexpensive. guide signals are a little more complicated to discover than vehicles. best of fortune to you!

hi guys,

i figured i would update with what i got. I did end up getting an '87 W100, 318", np435, and np208. it IS shift on the fly, it even still has on the driver's visor the suggested operation steps for it.

if anyone cares let me know and i'll take some pics of the diagram/chart

as far as i can tell, it's orginal. i think the hood might have been repainted, but other than that original. in fact, i'd be willing to bet the spark plugs i replaced were original as well. two of them fell apart after i got them out.

i bought her for, $7,500 which is more than i wanted to spend and probably more than she's worth, but after looking for a while i realized how hard it was to find one that wasn't rusted to crap and wasn't turned into some mud truck, let alone with a manual transmission

thank you, once i was there it didn't matter, she was so clean like you can see. i was surprised at how hard it was to even find the manual transmission for a vehicle of that era.

small world, but the guy selling it turned out to be a collector and was selling it to go buy another w series in VA? that i also found on craiglist for sale when i was looking around - so we were looking at the same ads. it had a/c and was an auto with for him down south was much more important. crazy small world.

FYI, if you decide to go with late '80's-early '90's, keep in mind that those trucks suffered from the dreaded death wobble...same as jeeps. there are fixes for it, but just keep inn mind. Also, i'm assuming your looking for a 4x4 for some offroad use...EFI will be an advantage over carb, for several reasons-steep inclines, sevear yaw, also extream elevation changes...just food for thought
