Hi guys,
live read several oil threads fyi, could use some definitive answers if possible.
I recently bout my 2012 Ram hemi Laramie longhorn.
it was a one owner truck and as clean as I’ve ever seen for a 10 years old truck, it has 175K on the odometer….I know, I took a gamble but the price I felt was right, and there was over 50 verified service records of routine maintenance so I dove in.
I promptly was initiated to the hemi tick and I’ve read countless threads here about it….mine lasts for about 30 seconds ona cold start up, less when it’s warm.
I ordered up some redline 5/20 and a RP filter, seemed to be some disagreement on its use on high mileage engines (tolerance changes within motor)
just looking for help from guys that live and breathe hemis that can help out.
Is redline THE choice for high mileage or should I consider PUP/additives?
