I know you guys must get tired (no pun intended) of all these questions about tires and wheels but I have one more I hope you will provide your thoughts around.

I have a 2014 RAM 1500 crew cab 6.8 ft bed 2WD. The stock wheels are 17 x 7, 25.4 positive offset and 5" back spacing. I want to replace these wheels with a new set as follows:
  • 17 x 8 wheel size
  • 0 offset
  • 4.5 back space
By my calculations this has the effect of moving the tire one inch outward and placing the tire centerline in line with the steering turning radius.

Are there any inherent risks with this minimal change - rapid tire wear, less control, rougher ride, rapid suspension wear, etc.?

The tires are Michelin 265/70R17 LTX A/T2.

Thanks for any and all advice.

Tire wear will be based off of type of tire and alignment. The ride based off type of tire. Supspension wear will be minimal difference. That set up shouldn't have any issues clearance wise
