1500's have the clutch type and it requires a friction additive. The HD's use the helical gear type and do not require any additives.

I tested mine yesterday, now that the new engine is broken in.

I was wondering what a helia coil was. Spell check snafu?

yup.. got to love my auto correct. obviously u guys can smoke the tires on ur 6.4"s.. sadly I can not. I am trying to do it at a elevation of 7k feet so maybe that has something to do with it. :(

Surely, you've turned the traction control off......

That 6.4 with 3.73s ought to melt tires on demand @7000'.

I think he meant helical or gear type. Someone said the new 1500's use a gear type now but I can't find definitive information.

I drive around with traction control off. I get wheel hop sometimes after coming out of a turn when i try to give it gas if i dont. Traction control blows.

^if you start having too much "fun", the stability control will spoil the party, even with the TC off.
