I'm debating between 35s or 37s this spring. I will have the 7inch cst lift. I know with 35s this will be ideal, and with 37s I could get by with a body lift, but how much? Also if anybody could post some pics of your 2wd on 37s that way I can see how it looks I'd appreciate it!

Matt99 had 37 on a total of 9 inches of lift I think.

Search him.

On a 2wd it has to have a minimum of 9" to clear 37's. Mine has 10" and im good to go with my 37x13.50.

Don't the 4x4s come with an extra couple inches over the 2wd? The 3rd gens had a three inch difference, didn't they?

You can "tuck" a 35" BC of the fender size. Once you try to "tuck" a 37 it won't fit. Everywhere I've read about clearing 37's in a 2wd you need a minimum of 9"...... You can possibly tuck a 37, but try turning and you'll destroy the fenders. Trust me I've done it.

So would I be good with 9 inches for 37s or would I be safer with 10? The last couple of inches should be easy with a body lift I just need to know how much id need.

ALSO, with a body lift on the 4th gens, how much frame does it show? I know some trucks look horrible with body lifts because it shows soo much frame..

Might as well do the body, every 4th gen I've seen with one looked great!!!
And the cst with a 3" body will be perfect for the 37's. You won't have any worries about scrubbing.

With the 3 inch body lift I'm worried about the frame showing. And on top of that Ill want some nerf bars like this

I like how they sit tight up against the bottom of the body, but with a body lift there will be a 3 inch gap..

Anybody get where I'm going with this?

Oh yes, I know wat your saying but don't those mount to the pinch welds? I didn't think they mounted to the frame??....

I hope someone will answer that question fully lol

This is correct ^^^

what changes the ability to fit 37s on a 4th gen if it's 2wd compared to a 4x4?

Don't the 4x4s come with an extra couple inches over the 2wd? The 3rd gens had a three inch difference, didn't they?

The 4x4 do have a few inches of clearance over the 2wd rmas

You can do either.....But I think your options are either 8.25" (via 1.25" body lift) or 10" (via 3" body lift)

you should be able to clear 37's on option 1 and on option 2 you will certainly clear 38's on even a 20x12 rim

The 4th gens are good at hiding the body lift. You wont notice there is a body lift on the 1.25" besides noticing it on the exhaust.
The 3", you will require gap guards which are $50-$60 for the front fenders.

I would still do the 3" body lift to be certain and safe

This is a different generation of ram though.
The 4th gen hides more.....
all you need is gap guards for the front and thats it. everything else is hidden.
Other than your exhaust will need re-aligning, but that's a given

Thanks for the info bud, if I decide to do a body lift, it will be the 3 inch and ill run 37s most likely. When it comes closer to buying time ill make the decision
