Any muffler recommendations that give a V6 a deep rumble that's not loud?

I just want a deep idle, something you can hear in the cabin and at startup. Nothing too loud, just a subtle, deep, resonating muffler.

These Pentastar V6 engines sound terrible with a loud exhaust, I just want a little "oomph" and deep sound at idle.

Recommendations?

I just put a 22” Magnaflow on my Hemi that does exactly that. Not sure about the V6 though.

IMHO, rumble in a V-6 tends to sound "Ricer."

I understand what you are trying to do, and you can get close, but probably more of a euro sound than traditional muscle. Too much diameter and you lose exhaust scavenging, straight pipes tend to make a V-6 sound like a Post-Office truck, and too much chambering impedes the flow of gases reducing power.

Its just physics.

I wish you success....

I agree with all the above posters. Never gonna get a “deep” rumble out a v6. Can’t really make a v6 sound like a v8

Search for putting the factory hemi duals with factory muffler on a V6. That so far has been the best sound for a V-6 exhaust. I want to find someone's take off hemi exhaust and put on my 2017 Pentastar. The cat back setup is the same for V-8 and V-6. I want the look to be complete with a dual exhaust factory bumper, but some people have done it with a straight bumper and say the tips are on ball sockets so they can be pointed down to clear the bumper.

This is exactly what I did and it sounds really good. I bought my dual exhaust off Craigslist for $100 bucks. It was a like new take off from someone that swapped to an aftermarket exhaust. It will work just fine without the dual cut out bumper. I ran it that way for about a year til I came across a dual cut out bumper on Craigslist for $100. I did add Moe's 5" tips and that help make it sound deeper too.

There's some clips of black widow mufflers on the 3.6 chargers and jeeps that sound really good

It took me about 8 months of stalking Craigslist to find one and then another 10 months to find the bumper.

Talk to Nick at above about ****** exhaust. Not sure how they would sound on your engine. I put them on my 3.8 V-6 Grand National. Outside is a deep mellow NASCAR sound. Inside, quiet.

A grand national isn’t a naturally aspirated 3.7 v6 either

I put the factory hemi exhaust on mine. I was going to go with the flow master kit for the hemi but couldn't pass up the price I got on the factory set up.

$15 for muffler, tailpipes, and tips from a you-pull-it yard
$100 for perfect used bumper

Then I sold my bumper for $150 and my stock v6 exhaust for $75. So I pretty much paid myself $110 to change my exhaust, lol
