Now you just gotta hose em off after driving in the salt during the winter....I live in upstate NY, they use a ton of salt/ice melter/sand/brine all over the place up here. Always running it through the car wash....

I prob get a car wash weekly or bi weekly all winter long, I get it rust proofed every November ish. Just bad luck I guess ? Not sure what else I could have done preventive short of being a psychic [emoji2369]

I greased up the clips, I greased up the back of the pads and piston rings, allied a good amount of anti seize between rotor and hub. So hopefully next time will be minimal hammering. Fingers crossed these work ok

I really try to not run my truck unless it is really necessary honestly. Really $#!T weather and when I absolutely have to make it somewhere. Right now gas being what it is makes the decision easier. But keeping clean definitely keeps things easier to maintain. My experience where I live, NY using liquid vehicle remover, any vehicle's lifespan is shortened. :blah:

Living in WNY I feel your pain - just installed the Z36 a couple of weeks ago at 35,000 miles because my rotors were shot (pads had 25% ish left). Just the joys of living in the snow belt.

Brakes are done…. All rotors seized on which is fun! I wonder if they put anti seize at factory [emoji2369].

Anyways, after inspecting the pads etc all looked good except for one pad that separated from the backing plate. All the brakes had some life left in them and the rotors looked decent from what I could tell. It was probably time coming up anyways so good timing I guess.

I’m gonna take it in now for a brake fluid change and hopefully be good for a few years [emoji106][emoji106].
