I had several of this thingys,
basically they work as long you are not in a place with thousands of FM radio stations.
There you will have problems to find a empty frequency and the higher output radio stations suppress this transmitter.
A new head unit is probably the better and less stress provoking solution, but much more expensive.
if you have a aux input then a cable looks old fashioned but the quality will be mucho mejoro!

There are also FM Modulators that suppress all FM stations and ONLY allow your signal through when turned on. They go inline of the factory antenna cable. These typically run ~$100 but maintain the factory look and work very well. I had one in my RX8 and it worked wonderfully as the head unit was not a particularly cheaply replaceable one.

Here is one example.... https://www.amazon.com/iSimple-Hand...923929&sr=8-5&keywords=bluetooth+fm+modulator

These things suck.... as mentioned above a modulator is the way to go. Honestly though with your set-up, you might as well start looking into aftermarket radios. They look really nice in the older style interior.
