I dunno. A lot of talk there but very vague on substance:

How long is lead time? We prefer to give a target week (otherwords:coming straight from far east).
"Our radios have more options than the OEM ones have" ...... What are those? Not a peep.
Does the radio maintain all OEM features? Not a peep.

No installation and / or owner's manual or videos available online

They sure look like same pics on Amazon...... And prices about 2-3 times those of amazon

This is the main stop block for me. I've been looking into upgrading the media center in my 2015 3500 because I don't want to replace it. I need a new unit to access features like the cargo camera and the rear air leveling system. I can't get an answer outside of "retains features." Even Crutchfield won't commit.

I watched this video of the installation but had to go to the companies youtube channel to find it. Looks like it retains everything. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D5tX-yZj-6A&t=395s

Not sure about upgrading with what you want from a stock head unit. Something like this would probably work as it allows multiple cameras.

I have been searching the web trying to see the differences in what LOOKS like the same unit on AMAZON, what I can see is that the ones on Amazon etc., use you EXISTING bezel/surround where the one from merge screens you get a new bezel/surround. To me they look like the same bezel. Maybe the wire bundling is a little better but cant tell.. I may pull the trigger on the amazon one and take a chance.. maybe a little while

seems fishy

I just bought one off Amazon.I am getting the dealer to install it because I figure they will be better at it than me.The 14 4inch screens for the truck are all made by Aucarauto in China.Funny they are the same but vendors call them by different names and charge different amounts. It took 2weeks for mine to arrive. No pst or gst. ALSO ONLY 22dollar import fees.I paid1300 CDN.Some go for a different price but they are the same unit. The DT truck units are a different style.Merge screens are good to learn more but I got mine off Amazon for less

Here's my experience with factory audio upgrades and going to new aftermarket:
(I'd recommend this vs tinkering with OEM upfits/upgrades, etc... because you're still left with a factory UConnect system that is know to be fraught with issues...IMPO)

* The trim level of ones truck plays a part in what you currently have and what you can do with an aftermarket system in terms of functionality and/or retaining ALL of the factory features.

* The trim level of the new head unit you put in plays a big part in what existing and NEW features one can achieve.

I went for the Kenwood DMX957XR and it's incredible what this thing can do.
My truck also came with the 9-speaker Alpine system and steering wheel controls.

* Utilizing the iDataLink module is a requirement in aftermarket upgrades.

However, keep in mind that this module has to be programmed properly and tested.

I recommend that if one is not familiar with every nuance of how to do this, to then have an experienced professional installer who is intimately familiar with the head unit and iDataLink programming to our finicky CanBus propriety system do the complete installation.

I retained all my HVAC and steering wheel controls.
I also happily found out that I now have additional features like:
- CEL code scanning, display of the code number, and CEL reset
- A dashboard that shows IAT temps, engine load, etc., etc.
- A second dashboard that shows all the specs for 1/4 mile tracking (acceleration & braking, etc.)
- A screen that shows accurate running voltage and active four-tire monitoring displayed in PSI

My $0.02

I do hope it works for you 100% well.

Amazon for any serious type of electronics purchases one is hoping for quality and longevity aren't always the deliverable received ;)

I understand it's not always that case, but there is more counterfeit garbage on there than in a landfill site in india!

For that kind of cash you could have purchased a new Kenwood Excelon head unit from Crutchfield with free delivery to Canada.

seems fishy

I am going to give it a try.It is plug and play,so it is easily reversable if I am not happy with it.The unit looks okay but I will let you know when it is installed. Not throwing away my 8.4 unit yet.I will keep it in the closet for safe keepng.I already have some nice audio equipment in my car,so I am not wanting for anything.I am just experimenting..But! I HOPE the thing works as stated.I bought a dash cam front and rear from China two years ago from Amazon for under 30dollars.Works terrific ,never any issue.Sooooo,I am hoping the 14,4inch screen is as good electronically.I can send it back if it doesn't work after installing it,within 30days for refund or exchange with no cost shipping.Comes with a year warranty
