Anyone modded the business card holder to hold a cell phone?

Wade I wanted to let you know that I received mine a week or so ago and I have been enjoying having it.

Out of curiosity (and if you don't mind sharing) about how many of these have you sold since you got them on the market? This thread has nearly 18k views and I know that there are tons of people looking at this that aren't members. Once again, not trying to be nosy, just hoping that you have started out with some success so far.

You aren't being nosy and I am happy to answer your question (and that is so cool so many people have looked at this thread!).

First...before I underwhelm you with numbers, I want to preface this with the fact I didn't go into this to make money...I felt that people like you and me would want and cherish this product...and if I made any money at it, that would be a bonus...but that is not my first goal.

I have sold a total of 120 units. A lot of people are curious and I think want to buy one, but are waiting to see how others like the phone holder. Also, even though there are so many people who have followed the thread, it is still hard to get the product in front of the masses. I am doing all I can to get it out there, but it will take time for people to know about it (the challenges of a brand new product).

How many do I need to sell to break even? About 2,100. So, I have a ways to go...but if the sales stopped right now, I would still find it a success when I hear from people like you!

got mine last week really impressed with quality even the box it comes in is impressive.i'll just throw it out there have you thought about taking some to some local ram parts or service deptments and maybe leave a sample and sales info with them.again great product.

I kinda gave that a try at my local Dodge/Ram dealer. I know the sales manager/owner and I showed him an extra that I bought from Wade. He thought it was pretty nice, but commented, oh I'll just sell a guy a new truck that doesn't need it. I was a little taken back at the comment. Like you I thought I would leave one to display at the parts counter. It would be great if Wade could get them to the dealers or it could be a Ram 1500 Accessory available from FCA.

Munky, That is awesome! I hope it gets to you ASAP!!

However, be forewarned...the Medium may be too small for that phone/case combination. The iPhone 6 Plus is 77.8mm wide. That only leaves you 6.2mm of play...and cases can eat up that much real estate real quick.

BUT...the good news is...if the Medium doesn't work, email me directly at [email protected] and I will send you out a 'Large' size immediately. I want to make sure you are taken care of.

Most people think that the phone needs to sit in the holder snug...but that isn't the case. The phone will sit in there and not move around hardly at all because of the soft texture of the RPC Phone Holder. And also, the iPhones have a very flat bottom...so they sit in the holder very straight...and sit still.

Again. let me know if you need the Larger size and I will get you taken care of!

I will keep that in mind when it shows up tomorrow if it doesn't fit. Already got confirmation that it's on it's way and should be here tomorrow morning. Sadly I'll be at work when it arrives. As for my case it's not really a case. It's just a plastic cover with a picture on it that I had got from redbubble.com It's almost as thing as the glass screen protector I added to the phone from Zagg. I hate bulky cases and this was more or less just a decorative thing than anything. Thanks again for all your hard work and I can't wait to get mine!

Here is my reaction from Ram Parts Departments...they don't like/want to push non-Mopar parts. It is probably a Liability thing. The salesman that I bought my truck from barely gave me the time of day. Again...it is probably a Corporate thing so I am not holding it against them. I am looking at getting it into the secondary market Ram Truck Part stores who carry aftermarket parts and such. I just haven't had the chance to do it yet as my inventory levels are on fumes until my big shipment comes from my manufacturer next week.

I do like your thinking and if you ever come across a company that you think would be a good fit for this product, let me know...I will give them a call!

That's an awesome attitude to have, hopefully it takes some of the stress off of you. I'm going to send some pics to a few people I know that have these trucks and I'll share your website on FB. You seem to be a cool, passionate guy and you have a great produce. Hopefully your sales will start to pick up, and I'm sure they will. In the meantime, I'll do my best to market for you here in this post.

Here's a few notes to anyone that is still waiting to purchase one of these:

The fit and finish of this product blends seamlessly into the interior of the truck. It does not stand out, nor catch your eye in a way that draws attention to it. Color, texture and shape; it simply looks as if it came in the truck from the factory.

The angle and position that it puts the phone is the best feature. It's not in your face, it's not bulky and it's not in your way. It places the phone in a spot to where you can see it when it goes off and is still easily accessible. All of my other Dodge trucks had the fold down middle seat/console that I usually sat my phone on top of. When I bought this truck I noticed that I would either put my phone in the cup holder or down inside the compartment. Both places kept the phone out of my normal field of vision, I wouldn't notice if it went off and I would occasionally forget it in the truck when I got out.

It is easily removable should you decide that it needs to be moved. And at $20 (give or take) it is a nice convenience that anyone can afford to have.

Believe me you...I was not very happy when I saw that. I first responded to him, and then I went and filed a complaint with Amazon. They said they are going to remove it, but it has been a few days and it is still up.

I will pester them more about it.

The one thing I am incredibly thankful for is...all the people that gave it great reviews. I am absolutely humbled by the great people who did that. I am forever thankful!!

So I received my phone holder and IDK what everyone else is talking about...this thing sucks. The design properly angles the phone to a nice viewing angle, the design allows it to sit very snug in the **** poor built card holder allowing the phone to stay properly in face, and lastly, it holds my phone near perfect. I have maybe a 1/8" gap on the side if that on my Moto X Pure Edition with Case. All in all this thing is horribly built.

@ Wade, Gotta say man, all jokes aside, the holder is amazing. I was very skeptical of this as I couldn't wrap my head around it. Instead I had to make the spoon move instead LOL. ANyways, thank you very much for an amazing product. And the card you left in the box, very very touching and sincere and 100% customer focus. You have the makings of a perfect small business and with customer service #1 you will go far my friend. I thank you, truly for this product, it lives up to the hype.

Ready to order mine, 13 total reviews, all 5 star except that one idiot. Just fyi the small and large are Prime but not medium, probably due to stock. I will wait for the medium to be Prime eligible. Cant wait though, thanks for making this happen Wadestar.
