Anyone modded the business card holder to hold a cell phone?

I apologize. I remember seeing your email, but I was away from my shop at the time to get some measurements. My apologies.

Unfortunately, the slot in your express is too narrow for this part. If I had more time right now, I would try to make you one in my 3D printer, but I am absolutely slammed right now.

I will keep this in the back of my mind and if at some point I find some extra time, I will see if I can make something.

I looked up the dimensions for the Otterbox (Defender Series) for the S6. It measures 83.82mm which would be barely fit into a Medium (which fits phones up to 84mm). If you get the Medium and if you think it is too snug, contact me and I will send you a Large at no cost.

My unit is a little snug the holder comes out of the card holder phone still in tact. Was thinking of taking some sand paper and and sand inside channels some. Just wanted your thoughts? The next size up would be way too sloppy in my opinion.

I got Wades medium for my galaxy s5 with slim case. Too big by 2mm for small, similar to your fit needs. With mine now, I too have room on both sides of the phone, however with his very well thought out design, the angle and material , my phone DOES NOT move at all during driving and is so easy to slide in and, most importantly, grab to remove. I highly recommend this holder!!

for those who think that too much play is a bad thing, i can tell you in my opinion, it is not.

I would find it more of an annoyance or pain in the ass to have to carefully slide the phone up and out due to a snug fit. I bought a medium for my iphone 6 with a medium thickness sort of case. I have ~1/3" of play on either side and a a 3-5 millimeters of play front to back. I find it much better than if I had purchased a small, where the fit would have been snug.

Its very easy to just slide it in and out, drop it in or whatever and not worry about pulling the phone holder along with it.

Ramit355, I encourage you to read the last two posts. Often people think that play is a bad thing, but I encourage you to try the bigger size.

If it is too tight, it is going to be hassle for you...like you experienced, the phone and holder will be one unit. If you want, I will send you a Large, free of charge for you to try.

jmyork88, that is awesome! Beautiful truck! I am proud of the fact that Ram finally addressed an issue with their console...that they should have done about 5 years ago.

Thanks for the compliment. I love it. the holder is awesome...no movement when set in yet its easy to get out. Also is wide enough for two cells or a smaller tablet and i can even lay my Note 5 (huge) sideways to allow for charging (or usb hook up)

Just order one of your phone holders for my 2015.... Can't wait for it to get here. I did notice the 2016 has redesign and it works pretty good for all phones. My buddy just bought a 2016 ram 1500 and it has the new console.

I'm still enjoying my phone holder, Wade. I had a die-hard Ford guy ride in my truck for the first time a few days ago and he was very impressed with phone holder that "Ram put in these trucks." He couldn't believe it was an after market item that I bought and I told him the whole story that is this thread. He also wishes that it could be modified to fit in his F-150. You've managed to make blue oval owners jealous!
