Anyone try Modifystreet headlights?

It’s the big connector under the box. You’ll definitely know it when you see what’s under there. I posted a pic a few posts back. To lift the fuse box, just squeeze the four tabs at the corners. You’ll have to manipulate a few wire looms to get it up and rotated out of the way enough.

This is what it looks like and how to install the pins

I'm running Hikari led's and are comparable to a 35w hid. I though about hid's but didn't want to deal with drilling a whole in the dust cover for the wiring. So far I'd say they are just as good as oem or tyc projectors. I think Jimmy07 had said the tint of the projectors more mimic the tyc projectors. The quality of the housing seems to be pretty good quality.

Even with the halogen bulbs that come with it out perform quad headlights. Can't personally compare them to oem/tyc projectors with halogen bulbs, I've had both and used hid's with them.

For the price they are a great deal.

Thanks for the info..

I have some OLD ebay projectors and they are getting a little worn. So looing at new lights and these popped up.
Good to hear.

If I have missed this I apologize, has anyone actually owned, installed and reviewed the modify street 4 beam led headlight pictured in this thread? And or compared them to the two projector headlights they currently sell with or without HID upgrade? Looking for an upgrade and will see what the V2 brings but wanted to compare what's currently out there...

Mine are in and I THINK I got them adjusted down to keep from blinding everyone (passenger side was VERY high). The DRL wiring was far easier than I thought: you can actually see the back half of the harness plug from inside the driver side headlamp cavity. MPGrimm2's harness jumpers were just the ticket! And I too am running the Hikari Ultra LED H7 bulbs in all four projectors. I haven't yet driven at night though- yesterday was a Harley day after drill!

Here's a few pics of the Chrome version of these lights:

Not sure if this has been brought up already (having neglected to read all 400+ posts in the thread as yet) but I contacted ModifyStreet through Amazon yesterday and asked if they intended to bring out a version for trucks with factory projectors and got the following response:

Dear customer,

We have adapters for the projector models. Please contact us for the adapters after you place the order.

Thank you,
A*****

Jimmy07 had contacted them a couple of days ago and they said they had just come out with adapters. I don't think they gave a price for the adapters

What are the differences slated for the G2s?

-K

I believe the g2 version will have sequential turns

I haven't seen anyone post anything about buying them. I think the price and fact that they are produced by a not so well known company scares most people off.

Aren't they both alpha Rex products sold under name of modify street?

Correct. Which is not particularly well known (yet) in the Ram world.

These have not been out long, so people are justifiably leery of dropping a grand on them

There always has to be a first, but no one on the forum has spoken up about being that guinea pig yet...

They both are made by alpharex but I haven't seen the quad projector one's listed under modifystreet yet. If I had a choice between the $1200 alpharex lights or the $1300 morimoto lights (if this choice had to be made before there was any reviews of the morimoto lights) I'd be more apt to choose morimoto over alpharex simply because I've heard of morimoto products.

Thank you both alot..sounds like the 340$ modify street and two sets of hiakari leds are in my future as HIDs can be added later..I'm a slow modifier, don't want to have a hole on the housing for ballast wires and ballasts just yet..will do plug and play and add the drl harness as well..

Thanks again!

Bill

That's what I'm running. Just added auxbeam led's for highs. Haven't had a chance to see how bright they are yet. The Hikari led's in the lows are just about equal to a 35w hid. I prefer led's over hid's for the fact that 99% of the time you can fit everything in the headlights and they are instant on, no warm up time. I thought about going with the innovative hid's that Jimmy07 listed but didn't want to drill a whole in the dust cover for the wiring.

I didn't want to drill holes either, so I didn't put the caps back on at all. One headlight has a desiccant pack, one does not. Neither fogs up so far. Then again, 55w HID will produce enough heat to burn off any moisture anyway.

I am thinking about jumping to LEDs at least in High beam, and perhaps lows....knowing full well I will lose some brightness from the 55w HIDs I have currently.
