No one has documented how they are wired or the harness that comes with them other than getting a possible light out message once in a while. So I'm really hoping that having those settings changed with alphaobd is all it takes. My lights should be here next Friday so I'll take pic's of how it's wired and what the drl harness is like. I'm hoping that the exterior "headlight" connection can easily be changed to match up with the truck's harness with using what came with the truck

Not to be a **** but please refrain from commenting on every post as you read through. Just about everything has been figured out as more of us purchase these lights. You can multi quote if you want to add the same comment to multiple people. It makes it harder for people to find answers having to scroll through multiple responses with the same answer.

Yes. Call alpharex when you order and they will send you conversion harnesses.

Im not 100% sure those are G2, when I spoke to AlphaRex on Facebook they mentioned more, different features than the ones in that ebay auction. I suppose they could be releasing multiple new versions but the last I read the headlights were in the warehouse but wouldn't be released until they were back from a trade show in Asia.

Quick question for those with Hikari H7s in the modify street lights..

Did you align them straight up and down per the Hikari directions or turn until they stop when installing in the housing?

No matter how I orientation the tabs on the base plate to get them to be straight up and down as Hikari recommends, none of them are at full lock position..

However it appears that the seal is just as tight no matter the position from my eye...

I guess the main question is with the projector lens is it or is it not critical that the LED be positioned vertically for beam pattern??

Just curious on everyone's experience on this

Whatever way they were clocked when the locking tabs lined up is how I installed them. They seem fine to me. I'm not sure what way they are facing.

H7s just “sit” in the housing as opposed to being “turned” in. There’s one big notch that you align with the notch in the opening, then just drop it in and clamp it down. After that, grab the fan housing and rotate the LED to vertical (if it has rotational adjustment). 4LKRetd.jpg

It is completely adjustable rotationally..the base plate with tabs is removable and makes it infinately easier to install actually...
That's why I asked this question...Hikari has very specific instructions as to the vertical orientation however I didn't know if that applied to projectors as much as reflector type installs...

Thank you!

I like the Hikari one's in the lows. I don't know if the auxbeam one's just aren't as bright or if the highs in these lights aren't that great. I have a adapter coming and I'm going to see in a 9005 led fits and if it's any brighter

I think you used the Hikari Ultras, right?

Where did you put the LED driver modules?

I would say they should be clocked with the LED's side to side. My Supernova V4 are Clocked that way in my Quads. Even HID"s are clocked Vertically for Optimum light.

Just so we’re all on the same page here, as I might have worded wrong in my previous post- when I said rotate them to vertical, I mean so that the stem that the led chips are mounted on is vertical. I’m assuming when you say side to side, you mean that the LEDs mounted on the stem should face (and shine) side to side (3:00/9:00), which is correct.

Yes this is exactly what Hikari is directing in their best English possible..78c7d91d2ada89f51201b33155145b68.jpg524f615dd9bda2d4ea32b7fe22711dea.jpge251b6b656b903bb49d6fe3b708d8381.jpg
