Anyone with a 4th gen & Volant?

I'm in the market for a Volant for my 4th gen. I have read about fitment issues. Can anyone clarify this for me?

I have one.

The front where the air inlet meets up with the fender - some issues there. Nothing crazy (in my opinion). Install is pretty straight forward - took me less than 20 mins I think.

Yep, that's the issue I'm referring to. Do you think that it's taking away from performance at all? I just don't wanna spend the money and get some ill-fitting ****.

I don't think it does.

Heck......I've tossed around selling mine. I don't "need" any performance mods - but every time I go to take it off I say "nah..........its too cool to remove!"

I enjoy it, but every time i buy a perf mod I shake my head. But, it will come in handy when I pop the hood at a show next month.

jj, do the volant intakes sound as good as an open filter intake like a k&n? or does being enclosed make them quiet?

What kind problems you talking? Just ordered mine for 4th gen 2500. Be here friday can tell you what I thinks of it.

its a little louder than stock. Nothing crazy loud like a BFI or anything.

I like it!

the stock cai might be better overall than the 3rd gens, but i still say almost any aftermarket would have to be at least a little better. Definitely better sounding
