Reason I ask I have heard there is a TSB for the 2020 2500 due to the remote start. Yet nobody knows what the tsb is. checking the normal tsb information sites nothing comes up. Be nice to actually know if there is a TSB. My dealership ordered a new RFH module for mine but reading on some facebook sites there are people saying their dealerships are saying a software update is scheduled for the end of January per the TSB.

like many others, when I use my remote start I can not unlock the doors with the key fob.

Haven’t experienced that one. Yet. I was having intermittent problems with lock/unlock and key fob not recognized with the push button start but that was just a weak fob battery.

There is no TSB for that issue, just a star case. Software update is expected to be released for the end of January.

Replacing the RF hub won’t fix the issue because it’s a software related, not hardware.

that is my thought. So how come a dealership would not know this? Do star cases have numbers or something that could be given to the dealership as I really don't want them tearing up the center console to replace the rf hub if that is not going to fix anything. it is a large dealership and owned by Lithia so not like they would not have had this come up before. Isn't there communications between the mothership and dealerships when it comes to these issues seems like a lot of wasted money on warranty parts that won't do any good. thanks.

S2008000194 is the star case number. I’m guessing they didn’t see the star case, likely didn’t do a search for it. Or the star case wasn’t released when they looked at your truck. It was released Dec 9.

FCA releases the The documents and it’s on the dealer to look for a TSB,star case,tech tip etc. before performing repairs.

thank you I took my truck in Dec 21st. I will give them the star case number when they call to tell me the rf hub is in. much appreciated. thanks again.

Thanks for doing the dealerships job for them, they appreciate you doing the work, and they will continue doing subpar service.
