Hi all new to forum hope I am posting in right place. I have a 13 1500 I have the alpine 9 speaker and sub I have changed all the speakers I’m running into an issue. The front door 6x9 and the dash 3.5 are split the dash has the kids and highs and the doors have a low line very low highs and mids even with the after markets. The audio place said run a line from the dash and feed it into the door and connect all 4 wires + -. I did that and there was crackling in all 4 speakers. I disconnected the bridge I think it was feeding back and forth. How can I get the highs and mids to the doors while leaving the low off the dash if anyone knows greatly appreciated.

If I understand correctly, the Alpine has a designated line from the OEM amp to each speaker.

Yes on the front speakers in door and dash they split the signal for the highs mids up and low to doors. I can’t even use the kicker key I called kicker and they said because of that so that’s why I changed all the speakers. The rear doors have a full signal

yes its like a 9 or 12 channel amp.
You can use the KEY to the dash and doors, just have to bypass the Alpine

Will lose the functioning of the cars features like the chime and blue tooth I thought the factory amp runs all that

No you will not, all your doing is adding, or bypassing the factory amp/equalization, flattening it and boosting all bass frequencies.

What if dash speakers are 3ohm infinity's already? Ok for key amp to run them still?
This is interesting tho, i may have to do this key amp in the future.

I read some other post from you graygoose, the key amps front channels run the 3 dash speakers or just 2? And the keys rear channels run the front doors correct?

Good idea to change door speakers to a 2 way or 3 way over stocks?

Just two, but if DSP is done correctly, you wont need that center channel. Time alignment makes it sound like the concert is right in the center of the dash, even on my base audio.
Impedance doesn't matter, it will padden down if the dash is too bright, all self detected when it does it's setup.

Im guessing the front dash and doors get cut off output of amp and installed to key amp?
Where does key amp get its signal from?

from the radio, comes with the speaker level harness . Add all new wires from Key to doors and dash separate, like a typical 4 channel amp.
