Auto Wipers + Sunroof ?

Whats up guys.. Was looking to trade my 09 in on a 14 limited. Talking to the sales guy for awhile he told me one of the features of the auto wipers is if you leave your sunroof open and the sensor for the wiper detects rain it will auto close your sunroof as long as the battery is fully charged. Sounds like a cool feature but I read on the forum all the time and never seen anyone talk about it.
Can anyone with a 14 tell me if this feature is real or is the sales person full of crap.

before I bought my truck I did a massive amount of research and reading on the 2013 and 2014s and I've never once read or heard anything like that, at the same time the sunroof isn't a very often talked about feature, I'd make him get a hose or atleast a spray bottle or bottle of water out and prove it, if only to screw with the salesman. My experience though is that sales people know next to nothing, except how to lie.

I cant stand the auto wipers lol. It constantly adjusts the speed and for some reason drives me crazy...there's no rhythm haha.

I've got a '14 with auto wipers & sunroof. Unfortunately we haven't had enough sun to cause me to open it...... Or any precipitation in liquid form.....

I'll check it out if no one else confirms before me if I get the opportunity.

I have sunroof and auto wipers, I've had my sunroof open when it has started to sprinkle and pretty much leave my auto wipers on all the time (I do like them), and it's never closed my sunroof. I have a 13 so maybe this is something new for the 14, don't know...

I just searched through the electronic manual for my 2013 and I don't see anything about that, although, that would be a good feature. Maybe only on the 14's.

I posess a 2014..... Rather the bank does but I drive it... Any who... Just so happens that it DID precipitate in liquid rather than solid form today. The sunroof closes when rain wipers activate is crap....... And I got slightly wet, just for the purpose of science.

Hmmm I don't have a sunroof on my 2012...but could the setting be in the EVIC?.

For instance, on my 2012 there is a setting you can set when its raining, it automatically turns on the head lights.

Just throwing out out there....maybe its in the wiper settings?

Yep whoever told the OP that this was legit must have been high...

I tested this last night and it doesn't work at all. And I had snow coming inside. It was melting on the windshield and causing the auto wipers to come on so I figured I would test it....FAIL!
