So my 2018 got a average of 18/19 mpg in the city and 24/25 hiway. So far the 2021 is slamming with 15/16 mpg city. Granted the 2018 had a K&N Fipk and a Flowmaster 40 and Mobile One.

Wondering what type of gas mileage y’all getting. I have had the truck two weeks so far and luv it but not impressed with the fuel. Its the Night Pkg so she has 22’s and all the bells and whistles….

The only option she doesn’t have is that 2 grand rip off that saves maybe 50 gal a year. But thats my opinion

So hows the mpg going?

How many miles so far? I have heard from a handful of members here that the mileage will increase a bit as you break the truck in.

Oh yeah that thing is still brand new! What gear ratio does your truck have 3.21 or 3.92? I'd guess you might pick up another MPG as you get it worn in but I don't think you are far off from what it should be doing. Those 22"s are heavy.

Yeah the MPG was waaay off for me too when I got mine. It was pretty shocking. If I can stay moderate with the gas pedal and only floor it maybe 10-15 times through the course of the entire tank I can usually get about 17.8-18.0. On road trips when it’s all highway ive gotten up to 20-21 MPG, but yeah it’s laughable how far the rated mpg is to the reality.

2020 limited I get 16.6 city 35 to 50 mph with stop go, semi light footed and 19.8 highway at 79mph with all windows down - including sunroof open and rear window open, but I am in Aero mode. Not sure that really matters though.

It gets the same MPG towing as my 2017 Laramie but the 2017 Laramie got a couple/few mpg better than my 2020 Limited not towing. The Limited is also ~6100lbs.

But my 2020 Limited gets better MPG than my 2021 TR-6060 Challenger Scatpack Wide Body 392 :)

Gotta break in a lil. Also, and no Comments PLS, U R about ready to get oil changed, break in oil (I am old school). U will see yer mileage go up a lil once U get above 5K, but remember, it is a Hemi, and U got those monster 22's on truck.

I got 13-19, 20-22 on Hwy with SRA's. (MY 19 truck 5.7 no E stuff). I lost 1 to 1/2 mpg when I put on Falkens, a lot more tire on the road, no balloons. But it is all good. I also let the cruise work the "gas" pedal on long stretches, more economical then my foot, Opinion.

ADDED: U could go buy a PRIUS and put RAM labels all over it (JOKE, LOL).

I did my own experiment on my own truck last week while I was on a big trip. I have nothing to gain or loose by not telling the truth in my findings. I have a '12 Ram 1500 with the 5.7 Hemi. 4.10 gears, Vararam CAI, a Diablo sport tuner with a Hemifever 87 and 89 tune on it. I've had this tuner for about 1 1/2 years and 15,000 miles. I have it on the 87 tune also. I have a camper shell on because we are going on a week long camping trip. Ended up being 2600 miles total. With everything we had for the whole week (which was a load) I guessed we had around 1000 lbs. in pay load. Went from NC to New York on the east side, went west into and through the Adirondack mountains which is absolutely beautiful this time of year. Riding along the US/Canada border, went East over to Niagara Falls. We stopped at more waterfalls than I can count through the Adirondacks. Also around Ithaca and what they call the finger lakes, Watkins Glen, waterfalls everywhere. I ran 89 octane on the first half of the trip and 87 octane on the second half. According to my evic I couldn't tell any difference in MPG. I couldn't tell any difference in performance either. (I know as a mechanic of 45+ years there has to be a difference but it was marginal). I averaged 18.1 MPG by the evic and 17.5 calculating by hand. To me that was great with the load I was carrying, the mountains we were driving in, the stop and go traffic we was in while in the New York city area and the 70 to 75 MPH driving we was doing on the interstate roads. I have now around 140,000 miles on the truck and it never missed a stroke. Tickled to death with my truck and the great time we had on the entire 8 day trip! Hope this may help someone else.

My 2021 Limited (22" wheels, 3.92 ratio) gets acceptably lousy 'round town mileage (13-15.)
I recently made a 2,400 round trip drive to Florida hauling a 14' wedge cargo trailer, loaded going down, empty back. Got 8.4 MPG down, 8.9 MPG returning.
Two weeks later, I drove two hours up to Madison, WI and got 20 MPG, round trip. When I first bought the truck in Madison, I only got 14 MPG.
The truck has about 10,000 miles on it now, with an oil change just before the FL excursion.

With around 65k miles on mine I'm getting combined highway/city at 19.3 mpg. I've actually entered every tank on fuelly.com

This is my first truck and first Dodge/Ram product. I purchased a 2021 Ram Laramie 4X4 Crew Cab. I would be happy with the 'sticker spec' MPG of 19mpg for town driving but I only get 14-15 around town and close to 19-20 on freeway driving.
It is the 5.7 L V8 HEMI w MDS VVT eTorque Engine
I have 20" wheels and not sure of the gear ratio
If anyone has a suggestion of how I could improve my mileage I'd be glad to hear.

p.s I have also had at least 6 times when the truck just shut down while I was driving out of the neighborhood in the mornings. I took it back to dealer and they weren't able to repeat this during the 10 days they kept it. I got the truck back but they installed a data recorder on it to capture info if it does.
