AWD witch 6" Lift Kit works?

Just checking, I believed i seen on one of the threads, if you had AWD
Nobody had a lift kit for them 2012 1500 Limited,

Not sure how the AWD works over puting it innjust 4 wheel drive?
Or is AWD stander on all the trucks?

My 2013 has "automatic" wheel drive but that is different than traditional AWD although it say AWD on the button. If I understand correctly, it's 2wd unless the rear end slips then the front kicks in. Different than my eagle talon (mitsubishi eclipse) which was true AWD...

GM has AWD in their Denali and Cadillacs I believe though
