The one thing I regret about my truck is getting a quad cab instead of a crew cab. Anyone had good luck with a baby seat in a quad? I tried it on the passenger side but the front seat has to stay slid far up. I tried in the middle but the bottom is too narrow to support the base of the baby seat well.

you sound just like me, i should have tried the baby seat in the quad cab before i brought it home. i am actually able to use the seat i have in the middle and it is supported. the passenger side has to be move forward enough that it isnt comfortable for the wife...thankfully we dont drive my truck most of the time as the seats fit better in her SUV.

shoulda gotten the crew cab...

I used to have two baby seats in my 2003 Quad Cab. I don't recall how tight it was when they were rear facing but there was plenty of room when they were forward facing. I had one on the passenger side and one in the middle and the third seat was folded up with the fold flat floor deployed for our dog.

Are the new Quad Cabs smaller than the old ones?

Im not sure about the size differences. I'll be using rear facing for a while still.

its really just because the baby seats are rear facing, they take up so much more room then a forward facing seat. i have at least a year before my daughter will go into a forward facing seat...

Even forward facing I have to move the front passenger seat way forward for my 4 year old too fit. Thankfully the Ram is our second vehicle and my Wife's Sienna does most of the kiddlet transportation.

I have 6 and 7 yr old boys in booster seats. I seat the 7 yr old behind the passenger seat. He's taller. The other one seats in the middle. I see when they get a little older that I might have to upgrade to the crew cab.
