That's pretty slick..

So you ran power from the stock wire and ground?

Great idea, you could try an H-3 bulb as the positive wire is positioned 90* to the bulb.

Yup, super simple, just soldered a short piece of wire with a plug on each of the four (2 positive and 2 negative) and connected the wires you see in the pics

That's a great idea, if I'd needed to buy bulbs I would have done that, had these laying around though.

I can't imagine them getting hot enough to do any harm since it's only used when backing up.

I have high output LEDS in mine, but this is a great idea.

Seemed to be ok so far, only on for 5 mins at a time so not really much time for them to melt stuff

I have used my reverse lights as work lights once or twice, just shut truck off, set park brake, put in reverse. So I guess I'd need to watch how hot they get then but with normal driving shouldn't be a issue

I left them on for 15 minutes. It is cold here today so maybe that helped but no melting at all.

I saved this. But I was thinking of using a 4" 55w Hella light I had and mounting it to the bottom of the bumper facing back. Then putting it on a 3 way rocker switch so I could put it on w/o being in reverse too.

Anyone throwing codes with reverse light LEDs or hid kits? My Express black edition has the led tails but they are independent of the reverse bulb.. Any feedback would be appreciated! Thanks in advance!!

Haven't been on here for awhile, I don't have any codes on my 2012 sport. I'm running H1 LEDs modded to fit.
