Early last year I was forced to sell my 4th gen 1500. Moving across country and heading to school meant it wasn't reasonable to continue making payments on that truck. I replaced it with a 1996 4runner which served me very well for the rest of the year. Now that I'm set up in my new home (Montana) I've realized my school work and work work both benefit from having a truck. I hunted around and ended up finding this one back home in Colorado. Flew home for the holidays to visit family and brought it back with me.
2006 1500 Quad cab short bed 4.7 125k miles
2in lift in front
Ad a leaf and load bags in the rear
Custom front bumper
Bedliner etc
It's in darn good shape. Has a few dings and scrapes but nothing major. When summer rolls around I'll probably repaint the bumper since it's got a couple spots of surface rust. The tailgate also had a couple paint chips/rust but nothing too bad. Someday I'll find a better gate on craigslist or just bedline the whole thing.

The runner was great at the time. Plus we al know they sell for WAY to much, I made money selling at after using it for a year so that's hard to top.

usaf2006, I'll get some more of it for you! I'm about 90% sure it's a custom job, can't find anything quite like it out there. It's REALLY well built though. I stuck my head underneath and have to say it's probably overbuilt. With the amount of gusseting and the choice to use think plate throughout I could probably drive through a building with the damn thing.

Here's a better photo of the bumper. Hopefully it works, mobile uploads are a bit sketchy...

Working on sealing the 3rd brake light today. Took it trough a wash and it leaks like heck.

sweet bumper! Hey, shameless plug. If you ever need a chiropractor let me know, my brother runs a chiropractic place in Englewood.

Thanks! I know three people that wrecked cars hitting deer this semester, that bumper will win vs a big buck for sure. If I was still in Boulder I'd take you up on that! I'm living in Missoula as of a few months ago though.

You may want to check under your backseat or around the cab corners if your 3rd brake light was leaking. Mine was and when I redone my interior I had a big puddle of water in my right side cab corner

My 4th gen did the same thing. I did suck some water out from under the rear seat but it wasn't to bad. Re sealed with some new rubber seals, should be good to go. Although I think my third brake bulb is out now.
