I done some searching on here and other places and haven't been able to get a definitive answer. I have a 2019 1500 classic with the basic radio. Does the stock backup camera have and RCA plug or something else? Hoping to upgrade the radio to an Android capable one but trying to figure out if the backup camera will just plug into the new harness.

Im seriously testing my memory here. The OEM camera isn’t like a RCA plug you see on aftermarket kits. Its wired into the BCM and pins that go into the radio harness. It is a decent amount of work laying upside down in the driver’s footwell. I added the oem camera to mine about 4 years ago…It was not easy.
Also, its a good chance it is not plug-n-play. You will need to activate it through Alpha OBD or take it to the dealership to get flashed with the sales codes for it. I got lucky and mine was already programmed.
Reach out to Benny at Allmoparparts and member mpgrimm2 here for parts and wiring.
Good Luck!

Thanks for the info. I was hoping it would be plug and play to make it easy. Haven't bought anything yet. Still researching radios that will work.

It is a bit of work. I also read the pin diagram from the wrong side…the mopar directions state that the three pins if populated, would need to be cut and spliced…I read the diagram backwards, rookie mistake. So I cut them…Killed my truck. Mpgrimm2 on speed dial saved me. Great member here.
You really really don’t want to find out what those 3 wires are…
