Hi, I just got a new (used) 2017 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT quad , I’ve never drove a truck like this before and need to get a backup camera. Any suggestions for a cheap backup camera that will work with the current screen? I have no idea what brand the screen is just that it’s a Sirius radio. I was looking into getting one of the cameras that are built into the review mirror but I don’t want wires hanging down. This is the one I was looking at , is there anything around the same price that will work with the screen already in the truck? Thanks I’m advance.. Edit to add, I tried to upload a pic of the radio but I couldn’t figure out how to. I also have no idea why it’s linking to eBay on certain words. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M260I3Z/ref=sspa_dk_detail_0?psc=1

What radio is in the truck now? Is it an OEM radio? Post a picture if you can.

If you have a factory Ra2 (5.0") or Ra3/Ra4 (8.4") it's possible for the oem Backup camera (active/turning gridlines) to be installed and display on the radio itself. Cost is usually about $280-$325 for the Mopar kit and $110 for them to activate the BCM/radio input at the dealer. Some desires will do the install with parts for about $500-$600. That may but interest you got it will be just like it came from the factory.
See post 10 of Cptwing's Installing OEM Backup Camera thread

There are other aftermarket kits from companies like PAC, Crux, etc that include an interface module to allow an aftermarket Cam to display on the radio. Some aftermarket cams (ie the cheap $30 or less ones) are not very waterproof and end up with condensation in them after 2-3 mos. (On my 3rd one in the front grill)

If you have an aftermarket Radio with a standard bu camera/RCA style input then any camera can be installed and mounted wherever you like. Just make sure you pull power from the 7 pin trailer connector (reverse pin & Gnd) and not the actual Taillight's Reverse signal wire or you will have problems.
