I bought an RBZ screen off eBay, am I able to add the backup camera to it? Has anyone done it? How much would it roughly cost?

All you will need is a lock pick and the camera to make that happen. I believe the lock pick goes for about $250 and then the cost of the camera. No flash required by the stealership.

Awesome. And I buy an aftermarket camera? Or the oem one that would come in say a Laramie?

You can buy either. The lock pick will also give you an input to use a front camera as well.

So I'll have to run all the wires from the unit to the tailgate latch?

Why are you selling the oem unit? Picture quality? Looking for a different angle? I am also interested in adding this mod. I am awaiting a 730n radio I just purchased to upgrade my 430 with. Going to add the lock pock and possibly a front camera at that time as well. Are you including the tailgate handle and wiring with your unit?

Yes. I did it on my last truck and it really wasn't bad, just run the wires through the frame.

He is correct, you will need a lock pick since yours didn't come with it from the factory.

It won't work with my aftermarket hu... The handle won't be included cause I will need mine for the aftermarket cam but I will include the wiring

I just installed a PEAK back up camera. $100 at Autozone. Mounts on the rear license plate frame and wires into the back up light. has its own transmitter to the screen so no wiring to the cab. 20 minute job. and seems to work well. One tip - DO NOT use the connectors that come in the kit. you'll spend an extra hour trouble shooting and them replacing them. Don't ask me how i know. LOL
