Hi All
Well i finally waited long enough and the factory order came in,,,driver side was peppered with what looked like rock chips from front to back,,,dealer tried to buff it out and never even told me about it,,,I had to see the little strings from buffing wheel and then all the small chips started to pop out,,,,,,completely lost ALL faith in the dealer, over 2 hours one way to them to save $3000.00,,,,they said i can go to another dealer, so i went to my local dealer and the auto body shop did an estimate $2,550.25 ,,,,, Now before i left the dealer ship where i bought it through, i had them fill out a paper stating the damages and gave me a photo copy,,,,,, no one wants to submit it to Chrysler ,,, looks as if whom ever parked it in the satillo parking lot gave her hell on the way there or the next truck in did it, I done a satellite visual of the plant and their paring lot for manufactured is rock and very, very large, after they leave the plant for the parking lot---i really doubt they re-inspect them as they load them on the rail cars,,,, but i doubt the train ride or car carrier did it....

Any numbers to call or people to contact in Chrysler world to get this taken care of,,,any input would be nice too

Other than that,,trucks great, love the aluminum 10 hole rims, with the tall leer #122 canopy it looks a little odd from in back but very nice, had to add a small rope hanging down due to the canopy's door being so high up,,,,and iam 6' tall :favorites13: the cab lights are a bit to white looking during the day, smoke lenses will be added and a 20% drivers and front passengers window tint,, maybe 35% ,,,, have the Ram HD mud flaps to help protect it and I need a good bug screen to keep the coolers clear.

Well need some sleep, take care all. :buffer:

Why don't they want to submit it to Chrysler? I had a tiny chip on my driver's side fender, smaller than a finger nail clipping, and they repainted the fender with no problem. Not just touch up with some finger nail polish brush, and actual repaint.

Ya know,,i really do not know, i spoke to the service department today from dealer were bought and i requested to speak to the manager of service and he said he could do what ever the manager could,,after running this entire thing with up dates from speaking to Chrysler rep and estimates,,,he said he is going to have to run it to the service manager but would call me back today------ no calls as of yet---note time of posting.....

I will just call the Chrysler rep back whom i spoke with Friday that said he would call me back today after talking to them as well,,,,kinda like a mediator,,,,he never call me today either but he said on Friday that he would put it as priority but possibility he could not call back on monday......

If the dealer ship would not have tried to conceal it and hide it from me in the first place, i probably would have left it there the day i was suppose to pick it up and just gone down the day the paint was fixed,,,,BUT NO, THEY had to let me drive all the way down there, not say a dang word about it and then act as if it was some big surprise to them as well when i did see all the paint damage, i have asked for replacement vehicle while it is being fixed and truck fuel filled when i pick it up and they said no any any of it,,,,,,, being handy capped is bad enough but being taken advantage of is some thing i have been working on for many many years and they are doing just that,,i am to the point were they need to bring me a temp vehicle and have my truck trailerd to their shop and trailerd back to me with a full fuel tank, half tempted to request for fuel in temp vehicle till my truck gets back too, this would not be right though because of the driving i would do normally how ever i am not able to do my normal driving because my goose neck hitch hauling truck is in the shop and i am unable to haul hay that we desperately need with in 1 1/2 weeks or the barn WILL be empty,,,,, after talking to the Rep tomorrow from Chrysler, i may just hire a lawyer and let they deal with it and pay for the damages to be fixed my self and request lawyer fees as well in addition to the 2500.00 for repairs.

I am sick of this and Chrysler needs to step up and as far as iam concerned,,the dealer is Chrysler, they are the dodge dealer, they represent Chrysler/dodge and that's it,,,,

DANG, my apologies to ya all,,,,,iam upset about this but not meaning to be rude to my fellow Rams,,,, I just became one also, dang ! :Good or Bad:

Wow. They took pictures of the spot on mine, 3 days later it was in the body shop, about 5 days later I had my truck back. No fuss at all.

Mine had a small ding with a chip of missing paint on delivery. The service manager gave me his card and told me to stop at a local bodyshop and tell them to look at it have them call him.

I stopped at the bodyshop yesterday morning, the guy took the information and looked at the ding and said they'd probably call me in about an hour. It's been about 36 hours now....

Been through the ringer with chrysler myself, still don't have my issues resolved.

If I were you and the dealer is refusing to at least get you a rental car I would contact the chrysler complaint dept. They will assign you a case and a representative whom can authorize rentals and such. The service manager should supply you with the phone #. Be advised that things take longer when going this route, but they can be useful. They should repaint the damaged areas under warranty.

Keep a log of all your conversations, dates, times etc. I hate to be a pessimist BUT with lousy luck you could have a lengthy battle on your hands.

Good luck.
