Purchased a '13 Ram 1500 over the weekend and the jack was in one of the Ram boxes vice under the seat. I am missing the bolt to hold it down under the seat and the bag at a minimum; is there anything else that comes with the jack (have the jack, lug wrench, and extension pieces to lower the spare)? Is there a key to the spare?

Anyone able to confirm if this is the correct bolt to retain the jack under the seat?

That looks like it for sure. No key for the spare, and the jack, lug and extensions are the total set that fits tidy under front passenger.

Looks like an inprovement on the 07. I see they have removed the thread on the tip of the screw. My thread goes beyond the nut and sticks out under the truck. When I tried to remove it, the rust and dirt on the tip would not pass through the nut. I had to get under there with a wire brush and some rust buster. Try keeping anything greased that is exposed to all that water, snow and dirt. I haven't tried Fluid Film for that, yet.

You can just try unscrewing it. You will find out fast enough if is all gunked up. Just don't force it if it won't turn. It will break off in the nut. I had a similar problem with a Neon caliper bolt. The bolt broke, trying to remove it, because the end, which was inaccessable, stuck out the back of the caliper and was all rusted up. They should all have that unthreaded starter tip so no thread sticks out the back.

You want these two parts for the jack hold down bolt.

These work in both 1500 and the HD trucks, the original bolt can rust and be hard to remove.

You might have a fun time if the previous owner installed the Mopar spare tire key lock. Look into where the rod is inserted to lower the spare tire and if it looks like a wheel lock instead of a square your probably SOL without that key. (see picture)1f8d889e7cb752fd98b0e8a63c8ec313.jpg
