( not really a rant or complaint just putting it out there ) let me state that I really like the dodge rams and at some point i will buy another, but, but it seems my 06 has every common defect rams are known for.

1. trans has drain back issue. since new. (yes my fault for not finding the time to get it fixed under warranty)

2. no floor heat.

3. exhaust leak both sides.

4. outdoor Michigan truck DD, rusted out wheel wells and tail gate.

5. air bag

other then that lol it has been a great and dependable truck. at some point I need to find the time to start fixing these problems or let a few more stack up and use it as an excuse to buy a new one :)

anyone else have a truck that has or had all these issues or are you one of the lucky ones with only 1 or 2 issues.

that was always my rule to but with the price of new cars and trucks I am trying to up it to 12 to 15 years. my 02 tarsus runs and drives great but with all the rust it scares me to think what would happen if I get in a wreck.

Bought mine new in 2006, currently 180K miles.

Ball joints
Axle joints x 2
Front wheel bearing
Front brake calipers
Front and rear driveshaft U joints
TIPM (did a cheap fix)
Broken rear door wires
Water pump
Idler pulleys
Recirc door
Fuel tank inlet valve (warranty)
Broken driver's power seat assembly

Actually I don't think the repairs have been too bad considering how much and how hard I've used the truck. Like you rust is going to be the big thing for me over the next 5-10 years.

I say fix it and keep it! :favorites13:
