I've added then on both this truck and my last truck. Having a tonneau cover, you really need them.
My last truck I used the strip lights down each side. After a while they drooped. I tapped into the trailer wiring and put the switch in the bed.

This truck I used a different style and I ran the wire up to the battery and I put the switch in the bed again. I still need to secure up the wires but the lights themselves are screwed into the bed liner so they aren't going anywhere. There are eight lights total. Three on each side and two on the front.
