hey guys, I want to paint these things black again to look fresh. How do these come off and is there a big risk of them breaking while doing so?

I also hate the plastic crap covers they put on now. In the old days we used the aluminum diamond plate rail covers. They are still out there, the black would look good with the gray paint.

Before pulling them and painting them, try Wire-New or something. See if you can get the color back without all the trouble

Where did you get them from? Do you have the part numbers?
Thanks

And much easier to just tape them off and paint them where they are if just faded. As long as it isn't windy or in the garage you can control the overspray and thin poly is cheap.

Good morning

Who is this Benny guy I occasionally hear about? I’m replacing my bed rails due to them being scrapped up by my bed cover clamps and fading color, I painted them and the paint doesn’t quite adhere, I’m replacing the spoiler due to fading paint too. The best price I’ve seen was two 6.5 inch rails for $191 shipped from Arizona to here in Corpus Christi and $80 for the spoiler shipped from Massachusetts.
