Bed swap questions

Hello everyone. I have a 2008 1500. The bed as usual here in NJ is finally rotting away. I dont want to spend the money to fix it and can't find a decent replacement. However I have heard people has swapped on 4th gen beds with little issue. Anyone have any experience with it? Words of wisdom? Pictures? Thanks in advanced.
