Hey guys,
So I got side swiped by a deer the other night. Thankfully it was a small amount of damage, but any damage is major to me. She hit the bed and left a small line about 6 inches long that rolled in. You can't even see the line unless you know it's there and look at just the right angle. But right behind the gas cap, when it bent in, it hit the wheel panel that connects to the bed. This left a little spot risen up, which could've been fixed with no damage to the paint, except it cracked the dang paint. Which means that when they go to tap it back in, the paint will more than likely chip off. Thankfully I'm "friends" / "coworkers" with a local body shop. They gave me an estimate of $425 to fix the ding where the paint is cracked, cause it is noticeable, and repaint the area then clear coat that side of the bed again for me. I have to remove the trim on the bottom of the bed, tail light, tailgate, bumper, and the lining on top of the bed. Does anyone know how to remove that lining? I see where it looks as if it is just pushed through some holes, but I don't want to mess it up. Any advice helps!
