I live in Florida. My air ride had various issues. I r&r the problems and all is well. My issue is I cannot get the air compressor to turn on. I did all the usual checks. It's narrowed down to the unit itself. I've run a straight power & ground line (see picture, 2 large pins on far right) to connector and it doesn't run while connected to a different battery. But it does show a completed loop with a test light. Any ideas?
So I modified the air ride system so I can fill it myself. Because everyone has a big ol' tank of nitrogen in the garage. I'll be carrying & pulling some loads in the near future so I'd like to get this fixed.
All I want to know is what are the steps and/or connector pins to benchtest the compressor?
Thank you.

Try the fourth or fifth gen section, far as I know there aren't any first gens with air ride lol
Thank you for the worthless response Senior Member. You took the time to write out your sarcastic reply instead of moving my post to the appropriate location and letting me know of my error.

Well, let's see. He probably isn't admin because I don't see admin by his name. Therefore, he can't move your post. He did help you out by pointing you in the right direction seeing you didn't read properly and posted in the wrong area. Just saying.

You are correct in that he did help me. I mentioned Senior Member simply because more is expected from people further up the ranks.
Plus, the "lol" discolored whatever positive information he was sending.

Not sure if it will help but here's the schematic for a 2018 ram 1500 air suspension which I suspect should be the same, 2015 is the same (I assume you have a 16 ram 1500).

Note that, there are more 'control signals' to the compressor than just power and ground (like many systems on these trucks), but it looks like it's just for the reverse valve.

Fastest way to not get help on this forum is to act like that computer ID error: 10T . Proper response would be to acknowledge your mistake of posting in the wrong section, and if you really want to speed up fixing the issue use the Report button to the the forum staff know there's an issue and we'll fix it.
Treat other members on the forum with respect, it keeps you out of the crosshair of the forum administration.

I would guess the best method to test the air ride system is with an OBDII scan tool that can send diagnostic commands and monitor live data of the various systems, including the components that make up the air ride system.
