Hi guys!! So right now I have bilstiens on my 2014 ram 1500 4x4 set at 2.8 with a 1.5" spacer in the rear and airbags. I'm looking to add a 6" lift and want to use the bilstiens up front. I'd also like to use the factory springs in the rear so that I can use the airbags. From your experience, does one 6" work better than another in this combo?

Also how much front end lift can I expect with a 6" and the bilstiens set at either 2.1 or 2.8? I've noticed that some lifts use a preload spacer in front to gain the full 6" of lift.

The lifts I'm considering right now are:
-Pro Comp I like the rear spacer/bump stop/track bar combo
-Super Lift
-Rough Country
-Others?!!!

I'd just like something that re-uses the factory rear springs. That's why I didn't have Zone on my list. And fabtech seems to have a high price tag for what you get.

I'm going to be throwing on some 22x12 wheels with 35" Toyo MTs :)

Pretty sure you can't use the preload spacer that comes with kits if you have bilsteins. I was told not to with my zone lift anyways

I second what he said but I'm going to try running my preload spacers. If they can't align it or it rides terrible I will not use them. You will only gain approx 1-1.5of lift using the bils over the pro comps shocks

Yeah I wasn't planning on using the preload spacers, just the bilstiens at either 2.1 or 2.8. I think I've seen a couple people hear run that combo. Just wondering if one kit works better with the bills than another :)

The rough country kit comes with rear spaces so you can use your factory springs. The Superlift can be ordered with Bilsteins front and rear which I know you don't need the front ones. Superlift also comes with a belly pan which is spiffy.

What offset...might want to make sure they clear with only a 6"lift

-76 I believe. They'll be sticking out pretty dang far lol so I think that's in the neighborhood of 4.5-5" of backspacing.

Pretty sure your not gonna be able to run those on just a 6" lift. That's quite a ways out so expect to be replacing hubs brakes and other front end parts. Check with others but i don't think those are gonna work for ya

One more thing to think about is I'd be prepared to spend roughly 800 on a set of paint matched pocket flares. With my setup it would throw everything down the sides of the truck. After a couple times of driving it I put the flares on. I have personally seen what kind of damage it will do and it's not pretty. Something to think about

Right on, thanks man! Yeah I know they are going to stick out hella far and throw stuff at the body. But that's also the look I'm going for. The Hawaii/Cali lifted look! I'm also not going to be wheeling it hard. Some sand dune stuff here and there, but mostly just to look bad ass. I figured with the 6" and bills at 2.8 I should have room. If guys are clearing 37's on a more narrow wheel, I should be able to clear a 35 on a fat rim. And I don't mind doing a bit of trimming

Now on the 2014's I've read that there can be some upper control arm issues. So I'm also looking into the control arms made by Zone. Are there any others I should take a look at?
