The only place that I find PUP is at Amazon. Local stores don’t carry it.
You can purchase the oil on Walmart.com PUP 5w20
I get 3-5 quart jugs at a time. For me that’s two oil changes paid for. Each jug comes sealed in a ziplock bag and those I’ll use to remove the oil filter spill and mess free.

Go to the local service station request magnum glitter bomb extra extra special oil and get them to show you the containers for proof that they indeed used your special turbo oil and the service station just calls the local exotic shop and asks them to save 7 bottles worth of the $20.00 a quart oil they’ll send it over as a favor then you get what ever’s on tap in the bulk barrel special in the back.

Changing your own oil and working on your own truck priceless…

Amsoil 10w-30 full synthetic with a Wix 57060XP oil filter or Mopar M0-339 as a backup filter.

From my experience on my Ram, Penzoil Ultra Platinum Synth oil made my engine tick at cold startups. I switched to Mobile 1 Advanced 5w20 full synth and engine is very quiet now. For filter i use Wix XP rom Orielly's.

Yeah, I only remember finding it once at a local Walmart, but in the last year or so the Ultra Platinum is not found in any local stores since. Had to order it on Amazon, which fortunately, I got free shipping on.

Everyone around here carries the Platinum, but not the Ultra Platinum.

Mopar oil filter + Penzoil Ultra Platinum Synth oil ...you can't go wrong.

PUP oil goes on sale quite often and it's not that exp when it does.
That’s exactly what I use changing oil at 8000kms

Check the Pennzoil rebate/promotion section of their website. They are doing a $25 rebate on Platinum and Ultra. Walmart and Amazon has those on sale now. Long story short, you basically get buy one get one free. I just ordered four 5 qt jugs for our Mazda and Pontiac.

I dunno if you guys know about Project Farm on youtube, he does tests on just about everything. Here's the one for oil. Not saying he's the final word on anything, but given this and tons of other reasearch i've done including noticinf how much better my engine runs and sounds, I use Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 5w20 and fram ultra synthetic filters.

Amsoil was shown to be the absolute best in both oil and filters, but both are 3x the cost. 2nd place for 1/3rd the price in a daily truck is more than good enough for me. Cheapest i've vound pennzoil has been walmart for the 5gal and I buy the 6 pack of 1qt bottles on amazon.

I ran Stoptech high milage syntheic before - noticable difference (it faired mid pack of the oils tested)

I am about to change my oil and oil filter on my truck and I am wondering what is the best oil I could put in it and I forgot how many quarts it needs too. I also want to know the best oil filter to get. lastly, I would like to know where is the best place to purchase all that. Thank you.
I've used Mobil 1 Extended Performance synthetic and Mobil 1 synthetic filter in all 3 of my RAM's without any issues ... Castrol Edge Extended Performance as an alternative if needed ...

For whatever reason Walmart quit stocking Pennzoil Platinum Ultra in their retail stores a couple years ago. To get it, you have to buy it online then either pickup at your local store or have it delivered, which is what I do. But I'm here for most deliveries so I'm not concerned by porch box bandits.

Good old Mobile 1 extended performance with a Mopar filter. Anything else is over kill and unnecessary cost.

I'm getting close to my scheduled oci and it will be the second time using Red Line 5w/30. I also purchased an Royal Purple 20-820 oil filter for this oil change.

I'm happy with the results with my HEMI on Red Line and will continue using it. My HEMI runs just fine. jm2¢

So that oil comes at a cost, upper end of otc synthetic oils yes?

So.....

Something like pyb and a cheap oil filter isnt good

m1 EP and oem filter is great

Redline or Amsoil and a RP or EA filter is overkill?

I wonder why you name brands and not formulas, as in any otc synthetic oil, with all respect. Have you looked at oil filter post? Lots of facts you may want to look at, especially spun glass filters and the tests done on them. Have you seen kirkland oil numbers? Similar quality to m1 ep? but cheap, is that good?
