Best way to black out headlights?

Uhh not sure ill have to look I'm the morning, but I think the wires come out of the hole. How could I get them like this?

thats a full headlight made by recon, you can't do that...

I wouldn't run them.....but I'm biased and if I wanted halogen projectors I can get those a lot cheaper than recon.

How could I make these shiny? I like the way they are now but I think they would look better with a shine

Did you toss some clear coat on it?

Yeah I put 2 coats of I think krylon gloss clear coat

I used that clear on a set of cab lights the first time I did some time ago
The VHT faded under the clear after about a year
It's not very good clear

It's not the best but get some duplicolor clear and spray them pretty heavily
Wet sand with 2000 grit till the hole thing has a haze to it then polish it with a good compound

Okay by haze, you mean like a yellowish white film? I did that and I thought it was a bad thing so I sprayed it with a coat of clear coat to get rid of it.

Damn it. So what I'm gonna do is take them back off, gently sand them with wet 2000 grit sandpaper, dry, then polish correct?
