I towed my old pop up trailer with my 1500 and felt it was working the truck a little much. I have the TRX-4 with all the factory tow items i have the built in trailer brake and im assuming the coolers.

Would a tuner help things?

Will going with 89 or 92 gas work when towing?

Granted we did tow in the summer but our summer in washington is like 80*, we have another trip planned in the next few weeks to go over the pass and I dont wanna be overheating or damaging anything.

Other then new tires i have not changed anything else, i do have the higher ratio gears i think 3.92

A Tuner with 91 towing option will increase torque and maybe a performance upgrade on the exhaust. Using Tow haul mode makes a huge difference as well especially when climbing a grade.

I LIKE as quiet as possible too. My Magnum RT is proof of that and I am on my third set-up on the truck, put on a heavy duty truck muffler which is comparable to a 24" magnaflow flow wise and quiet at cruising speed.

How much do you think a muffler will help, i did all the mods to my old jeep and in the end it just made the whole thing a huge pain to have. as i did the mod when something wore out but then the upgrade part didnt last and i was back at square one now with a hack job item installed.

I had a flowmaster muffler fall apart on the inside and rattle itself. thats when i was done messing with vehicles.
