i was wondering if with our 2nd gens if we can take the headlight apart and paint anything in there without losing visibility and still give it that blacked out look. Ive seen them do it with stock light on the newer gen trucks. or would i have to buy some projector headlights to get this look.

IMO, the stock Gen2 lights would have to be completely cleared for it to work. Then, you'd have to run projectors to get any decent light output from them.

Best bet, is to get a set of clear aftermarket one piece lights and retro them.

This. Projectors and the fluted lenses of the OEM lights on our 2nd gen don't mix

Thanks for the replys. I was hoping there would be a cheaper way to get the look I wanted rather than buying a new set of headlights
