If you did the hood and cab roof I bet it would look sweet on your white PW. Digging it

I might try it for a while and see if I like it. I did think about the cab roof as well to keep the black going down the middle of the truck....may even look like a matte black truck if seeing it directly from the front. Worst case I can just remove the wrap but I would not have the original hood decal since that would need to be removed first.

Definitely do the roof to tie it together...

I'd have to lose the strips down the side of I was going to completely block the hood out. I don't think I would do a 100% blacked out hood, I'd want either stripes or PowerWagon cut out on the side somehow.
Blacking things out looks good to a point but it's way overdone nowadays. The other day there was six all blacked out Ram 1500s in a row and it wasn't a transport to a holding lot for the factory either.

I'm not sure if I'm brave enough to do the hood/roof....I like the stock look with my hood decal! I did black out something though....copied @MTRamFan on this one:

Looks good. I was just noticing @Mace Peveler black tailgate wrap (at least I think it’s a wrap) and was thinking it looked pretty good because it had some gloss.

They went matte in this concept. The key is to match the paint on the rockers.

That's one thing I don't like on the PW is we have both matte and gloss black. I'm working on going matte on the black paint with some PPF to match the bumpers/grille and fender flares. I didn't realize it but that picture I posted is what I plan to do...matte out the gloss black we have.

Look up the Macho Power Wagon SEMA concept. I'm gonna have all my decals switched to flat black like this. Also gonna do an anti glare hood on mine but more like what AEV used to offer

I do like the how AEV does the hood on their 2020 Prospector XL since the black follows the lines of the A-pillar. They also black out the roof which looks good. Looks like with their "paint appearance package" you get blacked out hood, roof, lower panels, and tailgate.

I hadn't see that. It does look pretty sharp though.

I like how they used to do it more though. The gloss black still produced glare from the sun. Here's what the old decal looked like... a5dafbb0bff22b36c5eecf60e752b03a.jpg

Here a matte PPF test on my PW decals. The air pocket between the decals wasn't very noticeable in person but will see if I can reduce it when I apply it.

That's not bad, only issue is it now makes the paint showing through the decal matte also.

Here's the Macho Power Wagon SEMA concept. I got pricing here in AZ and it is roughly 1200 for everything to be done in the matte vinyle667287cd15ea7c9d843453fc9b6a976.jpg

Agree, my first thought was a little matte white would be much less noticeable than a lot of glossy black. I brought that up to the guys where I took it and they said they could cut out the letters so the gloss white would come through. I got some ridiculous quote of $2500 to PPF all the black and just decided to do it myself. My plan right now is to matte PPF an entire side of the bed and see how that looks before I proceed. Worst case I don't like it and just remove the PPF covering the white and just PPF the black.

Not a PW but here's a nice example of matte white/black:

Your plan sounds awesome and your quote for $1200 sounds reasonable. You also thinking about doing the Macho tailgate and AEV hood?

$2500 sounds ridiculous! You can get a whole vehicle vinyl wrapped for about that price depending on size and color.

Yeah, the 1200 is for the entire Macho vinyl. Includes the blacked out roof. The AEV style hood is like 300 because they have to print it different since it's a total of 3 colors. So for the whole thing 1500 isn't bad.

If you were to do the whole truck in matte it would probably be pretty cool looking. But my OCD would kick in but I have the blue streak color so it would be way more noticeable.
