Hi, need some help. Looking to get Blistens 5100 for my 2011 Ram. If I set the front at 2.8 for a little lift to get rid of the rake do i need to do anything to the rear? I dont hull anything in my 1500 4x4 but i am not a fan of the rake.

Thx in advance!

Dana

Basically the factory rake I did have a rough country kit on there which gave me a lift in the front of about 2.3 but I took that off it'll be for sale soon. I've just noticed some guys set their bilstein's up at 2.8 in the front and then they do some adjustments on the rear I'd rather just go with the 2.8 lift and call her done

You need to actually go out and measure how much rake you have ... It varies from truck to truck ... last thing you wanna do is just slap em on at 2.8 and end up runnin nose high ... It just looks stupid ... Some guys run 2.8 with a 3/4" or 1" spacer in the rear, because that's the stance they want ... If you don't wanna **** with the back, then measure your rake, and then set the Bils to a number that brings you close, or even to that number ... For mine it was 2.1 ... Pretty simple

When I had my 2011 did the 2.1 setting which leveled it nicely.
Same here.
Did 5100s on all 4 corners with the front set at 2.1 and it looks perfect Imho.

I had mine set @2.1 and the tape measure said i had a little rake left........but at certain angles it looked dead level and MAYBE a touch nose high. The bodylines on these trucks can play tricks on your eyes. I’d go 2.1 if you’re not planning to touch the rear.

Set mine to 2.1 and still have 1/2" rake.....just what I was hoping for.

I did 2.8 on a 2016 Big Horn and it was perfectly level. Had I kept the truck I would have added spacers in the back because it looked saggy when I put my small pop up on it.

I would listen to everyone else and measure it, unless you are at a 3 inch rake I would error on the side of caution and go 2.1. It will still look way better and won’t look silly if you have any weight in the back.

So let’s say I get the 4 5100’s to go all around on my 16’ big horn. You guys all said 2.1 pretty much did the trick up front without touching the back, even though the rear bilstein 5100’s say 0-1” they pretty much don’t add any lift correct? So if I do want to go 2.8 up front would any of you suggest getting say a 3/4” spacer for the rear as well? Or am I making it too complicated, I assume a spacer would hurt my ride quality a little? Which is not something I want to do.
