So today I installed the SWC that was missing on my tradesman, first thing I did is test it with the original deck and all the buttons worked, hurray!
Now hook up my axxess ASWC to my HU and nothing, unit power up and detect the deck but not the truck SWC button and stay in programming mode (slow flashes). I've updated the ASWC to the latest firmware but it didn't help.
One thing I notice is that the manual for the deck harness talk about the ASWC-1, I have the previous model (not -1) could it be it? From what I've read it's the same unit but with a different plug for the update.
Other failure is that I wanted to use the mic in the rear view mirror for the bluetooth of my Alpine deck. Impedance doesn't match so the person at the other can barely hear me. No problem Ill remove the mirror and replace the mic, nope, the rear view mirror is apparently glued and can't be opened (if there's a trick lmk). So I've put everything back together and going to bed pissed.
