Yes sir, I agree and at times it was eating at me almost 24/7 so that's why I had to do something about it,so now it is like a ton a weights have been lifted off. The ride is not too much different than the 2500, sure some times I can tell that the 3500 is a little stiff but not bad at all. I haven't hook it to my 5th wheel yet but I am going next week to see how much sag if any I will have, not going nowhere until later.

Oh I'm sure it did big daddy because I remember the thread where you were contemplating the 2500 diesel and lots suggested you go 3500 for the added payload. So glad you made this move sir! Good stuff! Well done!

Thank you guys for all of your comments, I couldn't believe it when I found this with only 19 miles, so at $49,*** and out the door was about 53,000 -$54,000 out the door when it was all said and done.

Wow, for an SLT it have the Alpine speaker system with 9 speaker and a sub-woofer, Android plus, sun roof, back up and bed camera, goose neck prep with all of the wiring, etc. So for an SLT it have all I need and some but the one thing that I wanted was the payload to pull my 13,000 lbs. 5th wheel.

The only thing that it don't have that my big horn have is the heated seat and steering wheel which is not a deal breaker for me. I will try to take some pics when I get my 5th wheel hook up and since I bought a new B&W Companion hitch I just need to try it out before we use it in early September.

Nice! Good stuff BD....looking forward to the pics of it hooked up

It would be interesting to see a comparison picture of the 2500s squat with the trailer hooked up (no air bags) vs the 3500s.

Enjoy it!

Yeah you're right it would have been nice, all the pics I have I always put about 30 psi in the have but if I can remember before I put air in it sag about 2" 1 /2. I measured the back already on my 3500 and it was 43" so I will see when I hook up and measure again . GsRam, it feel so good to know that I now have so much more payload to work with I don't know what to do with myself, lol, but next week. My wife and most of the lady are going on a women retreat (whoo hoo) so I have to be a nice husband and help them :). If I sound too glad I'm not:dogpile: but anyway yeah I get those pics.

That's excellent man. I can understand why you feel that way as i like to have more margin than most. I towed my camper with half ton trucks for many years and had no issues. However when loaded heavy for a week's camping trip i knew I was right up against or over my payload limit... I was under my grawr so i wasnt overly concerned as the wdh was set up correctly so the tow was safe and stable....but it always bothered me a little bit.

My 2500 has over 3100 lbs of payload so now I'm nowhere even close to that...and i have room for a future larger TT in a few years....

I'm sure your looking forward to the first tow with the new rig. From a performance standpoint it shouldn't be much different i wouldn't think?

Does your new 3500 have the 68rfe or the aisin transmission? Your 2500 would have had the 68. If your 3500 has the aisin i don't know if the gear ratios are different or not?

Also what axle gears are in your 3500 vs the 2500? That could make a difference too.

Good luck with it Big Daddy!:driver:

very nice! just go ahead on install some air bags. My 3500 only had a slight squat with the 5ver, but it lifted the head lights enough to bother some folks.

go choice on the B&W too!

Thank you, I have the B&W Hitch, so do you have the slider or the non-slider? I was thinking about bags because I have the wireless 7200 remote but I was also thinking Timbrens so what do you think about those?

Timbrens are good products. I like the adjustability of the airbag where Timbrens are a no maintainance set and forget solution.

I have the B&W slider. I rat need to slide it, but once in a while I have.

Very Nice Ride!!

I just gave up my sweet ride 2017 Laramie Crew Cab 4x4. Payload was only 1500 and had Ram Box so slide in truck campers were not going to work. New 2018 Tradesman Crew Cab 4x4 6.4 Hemi has a whopping 3690 payload and 12450 tow capacity. Now I can purchase just about any truck camper I would like.

Great, that look good the one I had was a slider but when I did have it I didn't use the slider. So I figure on this one I would order one that didn't have the slider, I just hope I'm not setting myself up by trying to get away without having one. I know for the most part I want need it but it could be that one time. Thank you for the pics.

And yes you can, I had a 2016 bit horn with the 6.4L Hemi, 4.10 gears.

Will that go in your garage? bet it will not , my 1500 does not have much head room . Same color as mine, I was not thrilled with the color when I got it, but it was the best deal on the lot , new last yrs model, loaded spot, but I have come to like the color better.
