ok I found a guy that wants to trade his aftermarket 22s for a set of stock 20s.....
I'm running stock 20s with stock size tires right now....
He has 22s with 305/40-22 tires....
My question is....
How well does this tire size fit with a 3/5 drop?
Also is anybody else running this tire and wheel combo with a 3/5 drop?
If you are please post some pics so I can know and if you have had any problems with this setup.....
Thanx guys

Well, the good news is those tires are garbage and will need replaced so if they don't fit you could change sizes. A 305/40/22 is about 1.4" shorter than the oem 275/60/20. It is however only .4 shorter than a 305/50/20 which I am currently running on a 2/4 drop with no issues. I would think you should be ok, so long as the backspacing is correct.

I believe 305/40/22 is an equivalent size as oem 265/70/17 so a dealer can reprogram your speedo if you get them.

well luckily they did come off a 4th gen ram...but it was not lowered....that's my only concern, is if the back space is wrong and might rub on a lowered truck

If you like them, tell the dude you want to test fit them and if they work you'll swap. That way you don't get stuck.

And yes the 22 is identical to a 265/70/17. Without a reprogram your speedo will be about 2-3mph fast at 60.

Tell him to buy new tires for those 22s and you will trade him even. Looks like your wheels are in way better shape than the aftermarket set IMO.
